Side panel
Inspect every field, fix one, and undo a fill.
The side panel sits beside the website and follows the tab you're on. Open it with Alt+Shift+F, or right-click the toolbar icon → Open DevFiller panel.
See what happened to each field
The panel lists every form field on the page as filled, skipped or incompatible, with the reason. Filter the list by Filled or Skipped. Select a field to highlight it on the page with Show on page.
Under each field's name, the panel shows what DevFiller recognized it as and how sure it is, for example Phone · 96%. Sensitive fields (card, bank, one-time code and consent) say test value, and once filled Filled with test value, and fields it couldn't recognize say Type not recognized. Select a field to see the evidence behind it, such as autocomplete=tel or label “Téléphone”, and any close alternatives. Fields under 70% are only filled when Fill unknown fields is on.
Above the list, the panel names the kind of form it found, such as Checkout form or Sign-up form.
Show field types on the page labels every field on the website itself with its type and confidence. It never changes a field. Click Hide field types on the page to remove the labels.
Click Fill this page in the panel to fill, or Fill again for new values. The list refreshes when you switch tabs or the page changes, and every few seconds while the panel is open. Click the refresh button to update it now.
Fix one field
Select a field to:
- Save field rule: give this field a fixed test value on this website. The rule targets that exact field and takes priority over everything else. Use Fill again to apply it.
- Exclude this field: skip it on this website from now on.
- This field is: tell DevFiller what the field holds when it guessed wrong, for example that "Nom du repère" is a title. The type is saved for this field on this website and wins over recognition, but it never unlocks a card, bank, code or consent field.
Export a form as a test fixture
Export as test fixture, below the field list, downloads the page's forms as an HTML file: their structure and labels, each field marked with the type DevFiller gives it (or the one you set). Values people typed, hidden fields, scripts, images and the site's address are removed. Use it to report a form DevFiller gets wrong, or to add it to your own tests.
Both appear in the options afterwards, under Custom fields and Excluded fields, where you can edit or delete them. If the website changes its markup, create the rule again.
Undo last fill
Undo last fill restores the values from before the last fill on this page. Fields you changed yourself after the fill are kept. Undo is cleared when the page reloads, and it can't reverse things the website did in reaction to the fill.
The previous values stay in the page's isolated extension context. They are never saved or sent anywhere.
